The Minnesota Vikings have lowered its injury report from nine to eight as it prepares to face the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. Head coach Leslie Frazier added four names and took five names off the list. The three players ruled out for last Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars have been upgraded to either questionable or probable.
Safety Robert Blanton, tight end John Carlson, defensive tackle Letroy Guion, guard Geoff Schwartz and cornerback Marcus Sherels are no longer on the injury report.
CB Chris Cook (biceps)
The third-year veteran was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice, but has been a full participant since. He recorded five tackles, a sack and two passes defended in week one. He is listed as the starter at right cornerback ahead of A.J. Jefferson and Marcus Sherels. Status for Sunday: Probable.
TE Rhett Ellison (ankle)
The rookie was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice, but has been a full participant since. He injured the ankle during the week one win over the Jaguars. He did not record any stats in the game before the injury. He is listed as the third team tight end behind Kyle Rudolph and John Carlson and ahead of Allen Reisner on the depth chart. Status for Sunday: Probable.
LB Marvin Mitchell (ankle)
The sixth-year veteran was a limited participant in practice all week. He was injured in the final preseason game and did not play in week one. He is listed as the backup to Erin Henderson at weakside linebacker. Status for Sunday: Questionable.
RB Adrian Peterson (knee)
The six-year veteran was a full participant all week in practice. He suffered the injury last December and returned to game action in week one. He recorded 17 carries for 84 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also had one catch for three yards. He is listed as the first team running back with Toby Gerhart and Matt Asiata as his backups. Status for Sunday: Probable.
CB Josh Robinson (hip)
The rookie was a full participant all week in practice. He suffered the injury during the week one win over the Jaguars. He has been sidelined several times since the start of training camp. He first missed practices in early camp with a hamstring injury. Then during the third preseason game, he suffered a concussion. He is listed as the second team left cornerback behind Antoine Winfield and ahead of Brandon Burton. Status for Sunday: Probable.
S Andrew Sendejo (ankle)
The second-year veteran was a full participant all week in practice. He was injured during the third preseason game and did not play the final preseason game and week one. He is listed as the third team free safety behind Harrison Smith and Jamarca Sanford. Status for Sunday: Probable.
C John Sullivan (ankle)
The fifth-year veteran was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Friday. He missed all of practice on Thursday. He started and played in the week one victory. He is listed as the first team center with Joe Berger as his backup. Status for Sunday: Probable.
WR Jarius Wright (ankle)
The rookie was a limit participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before fully participating on Friday. He was injured in the final preseason game and missed the week one game against the Jaguars. He is listed as the third team flanker behind Percy Harvin and Stephen Burton. Status for Sunday: Questionable.
The Vikings list probable as a 75 percent chance the player will play, questionable means it is 50 percent, doubtful is 25 percent and out means the player will not play.
